The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches. (Matt 13:31-32)
Of the seeds known and sown in Israel, the mustard seed was the smallest, yet it produced a plant that grew up to fifteen feet high! Inside that tiny seed, God placed the makings of a great plant that would develop in season, watered by rain and energized by sunshine. He specializes in bringing much out of little.
The population of the earth in Jesus’ day was estimated at between two hundred and four hundred million. Our Lord had only twelve men. Yet He knew his message would reverberate through those men to others, who would tell others, who would pass the message from generation to generation until his Kingdom would fill the earth. He was right!
Your influence may be limited, your church may be small, your means may be modest, and your abilities may be humble. But God brings great results from small efforts that are faithfully rendered. The power comes from Him, and so does the growth. Do your humble part, and God will use it mightily.
Be Encouraged & Blessed,
